Renowned actress, Coronation Street veteran character 'Audrey Roberts' and Feelgood Theatre Productions Patron, Sue Nicholls joined us for one of the performances at The Lowry and shared her thoughts with Director Caroline Clegg after the show:

"I enjoyed Not About Heroes on every level. Knowing little about these two WW1 poets I learned so much, thanks to the the brilliant performances from the two actors, Alasdair Craig and Simon Jenkins.  The story was so truthful and sensitive, and left one with smiles and, indeed, tears at times.

Huge thanks to everybody concerned in telling this story so beautifully. Sue Nicholls"

"Caroline Clegg’s magnificent, understatedly fine production for Feelgood has toured to Craiglockhart, to Catterick, across Britain and to Northern France. It is good that it finds a home so close to the Cenotaph this winter. Don’t miss it."

Feelgood is delighted to welcome our Patron of the Whispers of War poetry competition, the international stage and screen actor Jason Isaacs, star of Harry Potter, The Patriot, PJ Hogan's Peter Pan and starring alongside Brad Pitt in David Ayer's forthcoming WWII film, Fury.

"War has become part of our lives in these early days of the 21st century" says Feelgood supporter, actress Julie Hesmondhalgh.

"Poetry, art and literature have always played their part in responding to the inhumanity and brutality of

conflict, in humanising the horror, in asking questions of those in power, and crucially, in giving a voice to the victims, to those without without power. With the Whispers of War poetry competition, Feelgood are seeking out new poetic responses to modern day conflict, continuing the great tradition of Owen & Sassoon, and creating a new written legacy of peace & protest through words."
